USA diary: New York

Hello!
I've been away a long time, but now I'm back and ready to tell you all about my trip to USA! We've spent a total of three weeks there visiting all those beautiful and famous places like New York, LA, Los Vegas, Chicago, Niagara falls, The Grand Canyon and soo much more. It was my second time there and I have to say that the first time was awesome, but this time it was, well, perfect!
So our first stop was New York (the most spectacular city ever build!). On the first day there we went over to Brooklyn to see the island of Manhattan from the other side of the river and just enjoy the beauty of skyscrapers.

We also took a little walk around Brooklyn and awed at the sight of those red brick houses with stairs in front of them (of course I had to take a picture sitting on them!).

To get back to Manhattan we decided to cross the Brooklyn bridge. And so we enjoyed some more amazing views.

On our first time in the States we didn't visit Dunkin' Donuts, so this time it was on our to do list. And I have to say that those doughnuts taste like little pieces of heaven ( I'm a maniac of sweet food).

The weather was really nice that day, so we decided to have a little picnic in the park. What surprised me was the amount of people there, just enjoying the good weather. It's what I really like about New Yorkers, that even though they live in a concrete jungle, they still find time to get back into nature.

We lived in a hotel called Park Lane and you can probably tell from the name that it has a great view over Central Park. This picture bellow was taken from the window of our room.

The breathtaking sunset over Manhattan (also seen from our hotel room).

On our second day in New York we visited all kinds of museums starting with The Guggenheim Museum of Art. It is most famous for it's extraordinary architectural shape.

After that we strolled around Central Park and enjoyed some ice-cream as it was very hot.

The we visited The Museum of Natural History. It was really exciting, because we got to see so many interesting exhibits about cultures from around the world, but I think the most spectacular sight of all was the dinosaurs.

In the evening we went on a walk on The High Line. It's an old railroad that has been turned into a park. It's amazing how imaginative people can bee.

And again sunset over the streets of Manhattan.

Our third at last day in New York started with a visit to The Museum of Modern Art or MoMA. The photos show my three favorite paintings from the museum: Vincent van Goghs Starry Night, Claude Monets Water Lilies and Andy Warhols Campbell's Soup Cans.

After the museum we went on a sightseeing cruise. We saw the new World Trade Center building ( or the Freedom Tower) and of course The Statue of Liberty. I always thought that the statue would be bigger, but the sight was pretty spectacular nonetheless.

You can not visit New York without taking a picture of The Empire State building.

When the sun was starting to set we visited The Top of the Rock Observation deck. It's just one of those things that leaves you in shock in its beauty.

And to end a perfect stay in New York we visited Times Square.  There's something special about those giant luminous advertisements, you see them and you just can't help yourself from falling in love with them.

That's it from my stay in New York! Stay tuned for a post about Niagara Falls and Chicago!!
xoxo
